marketing at the heart of business survival...

first of all i would like to quote one sentence from peter.f.drukcer "the sole aim of business is to create customer"
and the process of creation customer is embedded in marketing.

Yes,marketing means everything in business continuity or survival ,if any given corporation can not do marketing activity properly and timely its competitive advantages will obsolesce and this firm sooner or later will be extinct.

so, whats is the definition of marketing? from a holistic perspective marketing can be defined as follow:

"the process of inception, designing ,developing, promoting, delivering and selling products (goods, information, services) in order to satisfy customers (meet their existing needs and expectations and also creating needs and then suit them) which in return will bring about addressing of organizational objectives ,is defined as marketing."

so in marketing we not only sell the products but also we design ,develop and deliver new products which are created after evoking new needs

so here i can write this proposition that marketing goes beyond only sale,it embraces many areas from design, develop to promote and distribute and simultaneously getting feed-backs and grievances to retain customers and make them loyal

so marketing activities are subject to both long-run and short-run strategies

in next posts i will go through details for this definition and subsequently pertained terms will be explained.

In continuation of "what i have learnt from MBA"

i have intended to set a schedule for my blog authoring in order to avoid ambiguity and also clarifying complicated terms in business literature, so in following posts i will outline courses and then explain the most important topics in them coz in MBA we have a myriad of terms and concepts which are closely and tightly tied or in better words interrelated.
in the majority of renowned business school MBA is lectured through this academic syllabus:
  1. marketing management
  2. economics for managers concerning both macro and micro economics
  3. organizational behaviour and organizational design
  4. accounting for managers
  5. strategic management
  6. quantitative analysis( statistics and probabilities)
  7. information systems and e-commerce
  8. communication for managers ( as an elective course)
  9. research methodology and case study and analysis
  10. entrepreneurship
  11. cyberlaw

in a general framework these are core subjects ,other than that some other courses will be covered according to specialization

since my specialization is global marketing management hence my specialized courses can be cited as below:

  1. consumer behavior
  2. global marketing management
  3. marketing and multimedia
  4. advertising and promotion (as an elective)

hopefully this blog aimed at cover the most attractive .applicable and common terms for those who are not aware of what is MBA really and those who are aware but willing to consolidate their knowledge in a synopsized format.

i really welcome all correction , comments and additional notes regarding to any one of topics

to inuagurate , i will talk about marketing management in a holistic perspective from next post.

preface:IS and its applications in MBA.....

IS is a abbreviation , standing for information system whish has surrounded completely our circumference.it covers almost everything aroung us from laptop,e-mail,shopping cashier and ATM to inventory management and manufacturing techniques in SCM.

theoretically we have tow levels of IS: individual level and organizational level .we have tied with both of them and by using IT and these information systems in our routine life we are getting knowledge worker unconsciously or unintenitionally ,

it should be taken for granted that a manager at any managerial level should be aware of thses thechnologies both in individual level and organizational level in order to becoming able to advance ond excel his or her performance.

by using e-mail,chat rooms and collaborative softwares you can manage and share your knoeldege providing that you wish to do it.
and in return you gain access to others knowledge and enhance your business dynamics.
i dont scritinize this topic and hence i am not going to go through detail in this field but i will proceed to address some important aspects of IS in MBA.

MBA and IT ,are they interrelated?

MBA covers a vast area of management and business territory ,to govern this region accurarely and timely we need an integrated governance system which is abtained only via using IT.

for instance in marketing management we have to employ database and datawarehousing techniques in order to doing segementation and market research,

in finance we have to deploy software to check balance sheets and P/L accounts we need IT in calculating NPV and WACC.

in all other areas we require IT techniques to optimize the performsnce of business.
i will further indicate the significance of IT in MBA

for today notes ,i can put every thing in a nutshell that in today's business and managment IT not only is a catalyst but also is a vital component in running business mechanism.
